AKA Group expanded its trading activity to manufacturing by
establishing Makkah Car Paint Factory (MCPF) in 1996 in
association with Akzo Nobel Car Refinishes the world leader
in coatings for car repair, commercial vehicles and
automotive plastic coatings.
Makkah car Paint Factory started production the Sikkens lines
under license agreement signed with Akzonobel in 1997. Sikkens
is the top of the range brand, synonymous with quality,
innovation and the highest level of services to the bodyshop.
Sikkens brand has a market share of more than 60% of car
refinishes in the Middel East and Africa and MCPF started to
serve many of sikkens medium solid solvent base systems in the
region as it became the only source of production for sikkens
medium solid solvent base system in the world. Besides to our
refinish system we have our own unsaturated polyester resin
plant for our polyester putty production.
